2009

So it's a brand new year, Christmas is all over for another 12 months and temperatures have droppped to the coldest I have ever felt... it's not great is it!

But look on the bright side, a brand spanking new year, a fresh chapter, a brand new list of things to complete in the year 2009. We all make resolutions, but how many people actually stick to them? Not a lot is the answer, but this year I'm determined to! Last year was actually one of my best so far, why you ask? Well I accomplished a lot of what I wanted to, I didn't get off to a flying start though ---> The first couple of months of the year were actually really boring, but around March time, I met a lot of new friends through being a massive fan of Torvill & Dean, I got to know them a bit online, and then met up with a couple of them who lived close by. In April it was time for the Dancing On Ice tour to begin and despite being a huge fan I had never actually been before [largely due to the fact that none of my usual friends were the slightest bit interested] But with my new found friends I ended up going 6 times in total AND I got to met Jayne Torvill, Christopher Dean & Karen Barber, which was Amazing!

After that I really had to work hard at college as I was due to sit my exams in June, I left with 3 A-levels which was an achievement but decided not to go to university. Then I wasn't sure what I wanted to do... I was persuded to get a 9-5 job which I knew wasn't for me, but I reluctantly agreed, however after 1 day working behind a bar, it was back to square one! I wanted to do something, challenging, something different, something I could call my own... then I had an idea, I would set up an online business. The initial set-up took a while, but now it's all running quite smoothly and I'm looking at ways to improve and expand.

So for the above reasons 2008 was a great year, there were other highlights too, but this blog is to record 2009 so I wont keep on about last year!

What do I want to accomplish this year? Obviously my main focus is my business, I want to make it as successful as it can be, I also want to persue my other interests. Drawing & photography for one... I'm a creative person but sometimes feel like I don't get the opportunity to show it... this year I will!
I also want to learn more about dance... I'm a big yoga fan, but didn't do as much last year as I wanted to and therefore lost some of my flexibility. So as well as improving that, I want to learn to dance to. I've done bits of dance in the past, but nothing major.

Right well Celebrity Big Brother is coming on, and much as I don't want to watch it, I am shamelessy addicted yet again! It is my guilty pleasure.

Much Love
Donna
